Project description

The project will try to construct a model for the future distribution of and changed risks of damage of collections by the dermestid beetle Attagenus smirnovi in the Nordic countries in view of a changing climate.

Parts of the project are:

  • A mapping of the present distribution in Europe
  • A summary of the taxonomy and biology of the species
  • Evaluation of several years of monitoring the species in different localities at the National Museum of Denmark
  • Studies of larva consumption rate at different temperatures
  • Construction of risk models.
